Louis Cazette

Louis Cazette sings Fortunio: J'aimais la vieille maison grise
In RA Format
Louis Cazette, born 1887, died April 29th, 1922 in Paris. Made his debut 1920 at the Paris Opéra-Comique, and his career was very promising. He died from tetanus following an on-stage accident having him wounded when the point of André Baugé's (actually of course edgeless) rapier broke away. Baugé, whose fault it by no means was, felt guilty for the rest of his life. This link has further biographical information, Cazette's pictures and his discography.
I wish to thank Robert Schlesinger for the notes and recording.
