Janko Blaho (1901-1981) was one of the founders of the Slovakian vocal art. He studied in Prague and in Milan. From 1927, he sang at the National Theatre in Bratislava. His best roles were: Jeník (The Bartered Bride), Belmonte, Don Ottavio, Manrico, Riccardo, Pinkerton, Lenskij, Faust and many others.
