The Polish tenor Władysław Floriański was born May 4, 1854 Lviv, Ukraine and died April 12, 1911 Lviv, Ukraine. Władysław Floriański studied in his home town, making his debut there in 1884 in PALESTRAN by Millöcker. His first operatic appearance was in Zelenski's KONRAD WALLENROD two years latter. He was so successful that he was invited to Prague for a guest performance, and he remained there. He sang also in Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna and Warsaw. He was acclaimed, too, as a concert singer. His son, Antoni, under the family name Kohmann, was a concert singer.
