Maurice d'Oisly - born Nov. 2nd, 1888, Tunbridge Wells, died 1944, London. Studied voice and piano in France and London. Debut in 1909 at Covent Garden (David in "Meistersinger"). After a few years at Covent Garden, he was a member of the Quinlan Opera Company, then the Beecham Opera Company. Married the latter's primadonna, Rosina Buckman.
