Angelo Bisagni

1891 Busseto – 1977 Milano
Bisagni was born in a poor family. In 1914, while studying at the local conservatory, the local council awarded him free of charge the privilege to use Teatro Verdi for a concert.

The war interrupted his studies. A rich citizen of Busseto Commendatore Temistocle Orlandi paid for him to continue his studies in Milano with Maestro Giuseppe Mandolini.

He made his debut probably in 1917 at the Verdi in Milano as Alfredo.

He retired in 1926, after the season at the San Carlo, due difficulites resulting from a faulty technique.

He stayed in the theatrical world and in 1938/9, he organized open air operatic perfomances in Busseto.
