Arrigo Pola was born on the 5th of July 1919 in Finale by Modena. He studied by Mercedes Accianti in Modena where he made his debut 1945 as Cavaradossi. In 1947, he sang at La Scala as Faust with Tebaldi and Siepi. In 1951, he sang with Callas in Parma in Traviata. He toured a lot: in 1946/47-Brussels (Manon Lescaut); during the 1950- Japan, Philippines, and Hongkong; during 1957-1965, he was the director of the Fujiwara Opera Company. After 1965, he taught singing.
