Vittorio Terranova, born June 18th, 1945, in Sicily. He had a pretty small but -
thanks to an excellent technique - penetrating voice, enabling him to sing in large theatres
such as the Vienna Staatsoper; he was more at home, nevertheless, in middle-sized theatres
like Graz, Catania, or Amsterdam, where he had triumphant successes. His best role was Arturo
in Puritani, and later in his career, he began singing the high F in the final scene,
a high F that has hardly any competition. He retired approximately in 1996. He is, to
add something negative about him, Josť Cura's teacher.
