Simon Edwardsen

Edwardsen studied with Poul Bang in Copenhagen (1915-19).

He made his debut at the Oslo-Opera Comique in 1919.

In 1927, he sang at the SRO in Stockholm as José.

He sang at the: Stockholm SRO (1927-50), Helsinki FNO (1953-54), Reyjavik Icelandic Opera (1951-55), Götteborg Stora (1925-27), Stockholm Riksteater (1960-61), ...

During 1960-61, he was stage director/producer at the Stockholm SRO, and during 1951-51, he was a regisseur at the Göteborg Stora.

His repertory included Tamino, Ubma (Arnljot), Pedrillo, Monostatos, Gösta Berling (I cavalieri di Ekebu), Mime, Loge, ...

He recorded for Columbia (Oslo), and HMV (including Gösta Berling's aria).
