Oslavio di Pianduni

1940 (?) Montevideo -
His father was a painter and sculptor from Genova while his mother was from Montevideo.

His voice was discovered by Ernesto Amato, a brother of Pasquale Amato, and he started studying singing with Charlotte Bernhardt.

During 1961-5, he sang comprimarii parts in Montevideo while undertaking some major roles such as Rinuccio and Lyonel.

During 1965-7, he studied singing again at the Conservatory in Köln .

During 1967-8, he was a member of the Opera studio at the Köln opera.

His career developed as follows:

1968-70, Klagenfurt
1970, tour with the Salzburger Mozart-Oper singing mainly Belmonte.
1970-5, Stadttheater Bielefeld where he sang Tamino, Alfredo, Hans, Riccardo, Manrico, Hoffmann, José, Pinkerton, Calaf, Barinkay, Paganini
1975-6, Theater am Gärtnerplatz München
1976-8, Wiener Volksoper
1979-82, Theater Kiel
1982-4, Stadttheater Bremen

He also made many guest appearances in Zürich (Opernhaus as Emilio Memmi in »Massimilla Doni« by O. Schoeck and as Edmund »Lear« by A. Reimann (1988)), Hannover (Staatstheater as Chenier in 1980), Wiesbaden, Kassel, Bonn, Wuppertal and in Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck (as Luigi, German), Oslo (1989, first Otello on November 18 with Kjersti Ekeberg, Knut Skram, Torhild Staahlen, Ulf Oien, Svein Erik Sagbraten, Roald Nygard, Trond Halstein Moe, B.Morch-Olsen, Martin Turnovsky) ...

He sang also Lieder concerts (first concert in 1962 in Montevideo).
