Ricardo Mayral sings Los Gavilanes: Flor roja
In RA Format

Ricardo Mayral was the son of an Aragonese composer and choir director Mariano Mayral from whom he inherited an interest in religious music. He made his debut in 1931 singing Los Gavilanes by Jacinto Guerrero and he successfully sang in other zarzuelas. His singing had at times a genuine sweetness, with certain high notes being a vulnerable spot.
I would like to thank Vladimir Efimenko for the recording, and notes.
